Auckland: the City of Sailing

Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand and it is the industrial, commercial and economic and trade center in the country. Nearly a quarter of the national population are living in Auckland. Auckland is located in the Auckland District in the New Zealand North Island. It has 56 islands, half of which are inland towns while the other half are seaside towns. This characteristic makes it a diversified water world. Auckland had been the second capital of New Zealand in 1841 to 1865(The original capital was Russell and the capital now is Wellington).
Auckland has a beautiful scenic view. It is surrounded by oceans and volcanoes and it has beautiful bays and spectacular bridges. Auckland attracts millions of sailing enthusiasts around the world. Auckland is the city in the world which has the highest rate of owning private boats. As a result, Auckland has a nickname – the quot;City of Sailingquot;. Every January, there will be a competition of sailing in Auckland and it presents a very spectacular racing scene. People in Auckland love sailing. Their favourites are the famous ldquo;Three Brdquo;, namely: beach, boating and barbecue. They seize every opportunity to go to the nearest beaches or harbors with picnic supplies and beers. That scene is very good. God bless Auckland and give them two beautiful harbors, dozens of wonderful beaches and a good summer climate that is suitable for outdoor sports. In Auckland, you can eat authentic delicious seafood. Near QueenStreet and QuayStreet, there are many Korean, Japanese and Chinese restaurants. These restaurants provide fresh dishes and the price is not so expensive. They worth your try. One of the most noteworthy is the Japanese food because Japanese food is famous for its sashimi and Aucklandrsquo;s seafood is very good. The lobster, squid, shellfish and many other seafood are all very delicious.
